Scientology

For non-believers, I have first hand experience of how this sort of group/religion/cult makes absolute sense in this world: I have recently discovered that my emotional health is directly proportional to my computer's well being. When I got it two years ago, I was pretty happy just like it.  Next when I went to America, it started struggling as did I with the monotonous days at work...And these days, after months of struggling it is sitting in a workshop waiting for me to decide it's fate. As for me, I am not sure which workshop I should be going to, recently I have been feeling quite sad really.

Who'd have thought Scientology would define my existence!

Banal iTunes

So this morning, to my utter shock and horror, I found that the Belle and Sebastian song I paid a princely sum of £0.79 to download it from itunes has been vanished into the vast of oblivion of unknown electrical connections.

Once I regained my calm, I sanctimoniously reverted to playing other songs in the album - I wonder what happened to all other songs. Perhaps another sunny day I will find that other songs have been deleted too?

Now that my mum is better (hurray!) I can revert back to pointless blogging. The first of such blogs is going to be a story of great heroism and an impending tragedy starring yours truly.

This foggy Monday morning, I was sleepy as one usually is in the early hours of the day. To overcome this sticky situation, having a tea was on the agenda. But for nth time when I walked into the tea/coffee area there were a billion other people (possibly chronical Monday Morning Blues sufferers) sipping their cuppas and discussing the gone days of a  seemingly glorious weekend. However, such was my patience that I didn't despair and hovered around the area by going to the loo, back to the desk and round trip to the tea/coffee area again and this time I got lucky - the area was empty. Not a soul in sight - a tea makers' paradise except that not a cup was in sight either! So, with pragmatism which is only bestowed upon the prudent and wise, I decided to wash my own cup with the Industrial Detergent which stood boastfully by the sink. I laboured to wash my cup clean. Used warm water to make it cosy for the hot cup of tea. I rinsed the kettle and poured the boiling water, let the tea brew before adding 2 drops of semi-skimmed milk. I returned to my desk, rearranged the chair in a civilised manner and sat down gracefully with the cup of tea in my hand. Sitting back, I switched on the radio and had the delight of the first sip of this detergent-ridden tea which left my tongue stinging.

I have tried washing my mouth, had loads of water, I even had a green apple to neutralise the detergent! But no vail, my tongue still stings. But here I am, slogging away at work, thinning to nothingness as people around me stare away at their computer screens, unaware of the agonising battle which is going on inside my mouth.  My enzymes are getting tired of getting rid of the AWFUL taste of the Industrial Detergent. So my dear readers, it was in your interest that I shared this epic tale of extreme valour with you for in case a mishap happens, you know you will be the ones to claim compensation on my behalf.

Now you can thank me.
